Special copper-based alloys with high nickel contents are used in the glass mould industry. These alloys offer the perfect mechanical and physical properties required for parts like neckrings, bottoms and blow moulds. These alloys are specially resistant to the constraints on the moulds during production (high working temperature, high thermal and mechanical shocks, erosion and corrosion due to glass composition and lubricants used,...).

APD can make continuously casted glass mould profiles and also ingots in such alloys for the glass mould industry.
